The festival of books on exhausted Legs

even though I ate my way through yesterday I woke up hungry today. I had half a banana to try and stall breakfast. I like to eat with Ben on Sundays because it’s our only day to have a leisurely breakfast.

Nope. The naner didn’t cut it so I made an egg sandwich washed down with iced coffee. Ben was still in bed at this point so I chose to opt for a run.

I donut do NOT run on Sundays unless it’s a race weekend, but I haven’t done any legitimate two-a-days in preparation for the Relay. So, I chose running on running on exhausted legs was assisting the same cause and went for it. I did 7 miles on exhausted legs for my two-a-day effort of the week.

I was going to do nine miles, but got a call from my mother that our meeting time ought to be earlier. I called Ben, hitched a ride, took a quick shower and made lunch to eat on the road.

I cut the run because we had plans to attend The festival of books at USC today.

Ben likes books (as our overflowing bookcase proves). We really need a library card.

My favorite books from today…

The weather was perfection and this place was packed! We didn’t end up purchasing any books because they were pretty picked over by the time we got there.

I packed some snacks – celery and string cheese.

I also stole a bite of Ben’s turkey sandwich…

and ate half a grapefruit. I have the most random obsession with them best now!

On the way home we stopped a local Mexican restaurant for taco salads (for the girls) and burritos (for the boys).

I love that they are generous with the guacamole! But, there are barely any veggies under this thing. note to self: request it without the taco shell next time. It’s so hard not to eat it!

Ben and Matt are doing math and I’m blogging

While we were gone my father picked a ton of avocados and oranges from our tree! I’m taking all this home. stay tuned for 101 ways to eat avocado on Run eat Repeat this week

I finally joined Instagram and took this picture on my walk (before I realized I was going to run!). I don’t really know how it works, but my user name is RunEatRepeat and I take pictures of random stuff. The end.

Now I’m craving a good book. I love memoirs or true stories – any good suggestions?
